NORMAN – The No. 19 Oklahoma women's tennis team continues SEC play this weekend with a pair of road matches, beginning Friday at No. 7 Tennessee before traveling to face Kentucky on Sunday.
First serve against Tennessee is scheduled for 4 p.m. CT on March 6 at the Goodfriend Tennis Center in Knoxville. Oklahoma will then close the weekend at noon CT on March 8 against Kentucky at the Hilary J. Boone Tennis Complex in Lexington.
The Lady Volunteers enter the matchup with a 7-1 overall record and a perfect 3-0 mark in SEC play, while Kentucky sits at 8-4 overall and 1-3 in conference action.

Oklahoma enters the weekend following a pair of narrow losses against ranked SEC opponents.
The Sooners dropped a 4-2 contest to No. 13 Auburn on Feb. 26 in Norman after rallying late in singles play but falling just short of a comeback.
Two days later, OU battled No. 46 Florida in Gainesville, ultimately falling 4-3 in a tightly contested road matchup that came down to the final singles court.
Oklahoma enters the weekend ranked No. 19 nationally as a team.
Individually, senior Julia Garcia Ruiz leads the Sooners at No. 30 in the ITA singles rankings. Freshmen Edda Mamedova and Evialina Laskevich are also ranked at No. 63 and No. 71, respectively.
In doubles, Oklahoma features four ranked pairs. The duo of Roisin Gilheany and Gloriana Nahum holds the No. 1 ranking nationally. Laskevich and Mamedova are ranked No. 37, Garcia Ruiz and Oyinlomo Quadre sit at No. 40, and the pair of Laura Brunkel and Quadre comes in at No. 78.
Freshman Evialina Laskevich continued to impress in singles play despite Oklahoma's narrow losses to Auburn and Florida.
The Minsk, Belarus native holds a 5-3 singles record this spring while competing primarily at the No. 1 spot in the lineup. She earned a notable 7-5, 6-4 victory over No. 37 DJ Bennett of Auburn on Feb. 26 and followed with another straight-set win two days later, defeating No. 54 Valery Gynina of Florida, 6-3, 6-3.
In doubles action, Laskevich has also been strong alongside fellow freshman Edda Mamedova. The duo owns a 4-1 record this spring and most recently secured a 6-4 victory over Florida's Brooke Black and Valery Gynina.
Following the weekend road trip, Oklahoma returns to Norman to host No. 30 Ole Miss on Friday, March 13 at 5 p.m. before welcoming No. 4 LSU on Saturday, March 15 at noon at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
