NORMAN — Oklahoma's Mariana Cobra, Evialina Laskevich, Julia Garcia Ruiz and Gloriana Nahum were recognized with 2026 Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) Central Region awards, the organization announced Tuesday.

Cobra was named ITA Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year for the second consecutive season. In her sixth year on staff, she helped guide Oklahoma to a 25-6 record, a share of the SEC regular-season championship and a No. 6 final national ranking. The Sooners recorded nine wins over ITA top-25 opponents, including six victories against top-10 teams, and advanced to the NCAA Super Regional round for the third time in program history. Under Cobra's guidance, Oklahoma produced four All-SEC selections, the SEC Freshman of the Year and multiple ITA All-Americans.

Laskevich earned ITA Central Region Rookie of the Year honors after a standout freshman campaign. Joining the Sooners in January, the Minsk, Belarus, native earned ITA All-America status after finishing the season ranked No. 12 nationally in singles and reaching as high as No. 9. Primarily competing at the No. 1 singles position, Laskevich posted a 13-7 dual-match record and collected victories over eight nationally ranked opponents. She was named SEC Freshman of the Year, First Team All-SEC and to the All-SEC Freshman Team while earning three conference weekly awards throughout the spring.

Garcia Ruiz was selected as the ITA Central Region Senior Player of the Year following a season in which she compiled a 21-11 singles record and a 27-5 combined doubles mark. The Morelia, Mexico, native earned SEC Player of the Week honors in consecutive weeks during April and helped anchor Oklahoma's lineup on courts two and three throughout the season. In doubles, she teamed with Salakthip Ounmuang to post a 22-3 record and win 12 straight matches from March through April. During the fall, Garcia Ruiz claimed co-champion honors at the ITA Central Regional Championship to qualify for the NCAA Individual Championships.

Nahum was recognized as the ITA Central Region Player to Watch after leading Oklahoma with 23 singles victories while adding a 25-5 doubles record. A First Team All-SEC selection, the sophomore went 16-2 in dual-match singles competition and earned three wins over nationally ranked opponents. Alongside Roisin Gilheany, Nahum spent the entirety of the spring season ranked No. 1 nationally in doubles after the pair reached the NCAA Doubles semifinals and earned ITA All-America honors in the fall. The duo also finished as runners-up at the ITA All-American Championships and helped Oklahoma secure the doubles point 28 times during the 2025-26 campaign.

The four Sooners helped lead Oklahoma to one of the most successful seasons in program history. The Sooners finished 25-6 overall and 13-2 in SEC play, earning a share of the SEC regular-season title and reaching the NCAA Super Regional round. Oklahoma climbed as high as No. 4 in the ITA team rankings, recorded nine victories over ranked opponents and closed the regular season on an NCAA-best 13-match winning streak.
