LAST TIME OUTĀ 

The No. 20Ā Oklahoma women's tennis team fell to No. 1Ā Oklahoma State, 4-1, in SundayĀ afternoon's Bedlam matchup at the Headington Family Tennis Center.Ā 

The Sooners gave up the doubles point to the CowgirlsĀ (19-0, 8-0Ā Big 12) to open the match.

On court three, Chloe Noel andĀ Ava CatanzariteĀ were defeated by Safiya Carrington and Kristina Novak, 6-2. OU's No. 3 pairing ofĀ Dana GuzmanĀ andĀ Alina ShcherbininaĀ fell to No. 8 Anastasiya Komar and Ange Oby KajuruĀ at the top court.Ā 

In singles, OUĀ tied the score at 1-1 as No. 39Ā Julia Garcia RuizĀ picked up her seventhĀ ranked win of the season overĀ No. 10 Komar,Ā 6-4, 6-4.Ā The sophomore from Mexico improved her season singles dual record to 13-0.Ā 

The Cowgirls went onĀ to win the next three matches, starting at the third court which sawĀ No. 65 Lucia PeyreĀ take downĀ OU's No. 95 Shcherbinina,Ā 6-3, 6-1. On court four, No. 77Ā Carrington knocked offĀ No. 50Ā Florencia Urrutia,Ā 6-4, 7-6(2).Ā 

OSU clinched the match as OU's Noel was downed by No. 81 Ayumi Miyamoto,Ā 3-6, 6-2, 6-3, on court five.

When play was halted, No. 34Ā GuzmanĀ was trailing in a third set toĀ No. 4Ā Kajuru, 6-4, 6-7(4), 1-2,Ā  on the top court. At the No. 6Ā line,Ā Emma StakerĀ found herself falling behind toĀ Novak,Ā 6-3, 3-6, 4-5.Ā
