No. 16 Sooners Set to Host ITA Kickoff Weekend Matches

NORMAN - The No. 16 Oklahoma women's tennis team is set to host ITA Kickoff Weekend for the second consecutive season, beginning Saturday. OU will welcome No. 19 Cal, No. 23 UCF and Illinois to the Headington Family Tennis Center.

MATCHDAY BASICS

The squad will face No. 23 UCF in the first round on Saturday at 10 a.m. CT, while No. 19 Cal and Illinois will compete on the other side of the bracket.

The winners of Saturday's matches will compete Sunday in the championship match at 2 p.m., with the winner punching its ticket to the ITA National Indoor Championships set for Feb. 9-12 in Seattle, Wash. The remaining teams will play a consolation contest Sunday at 10 a.m. CT.

The Sooners' 2024 matches at the Headington Family Tennis Center will be open to the public and free of charge. Due to the elimination of concessions, fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks. Free Rudy's breakfast tacos will be provided to the first 251 fans that attend Saturday's match. Both matches will feature a crimson poms giveaway. Oklahoma also follows a clear bag policy.
