Ames, Iowa – The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams competed in the Big 12 Conference Championship at the Iowa State Cross Country Course in Ames, Iowa, on Saturday.
The Oklahoma men's squad registered eighth place in the 8K with a team score of 229. The women's squad placed 12th in the 6K with a team score of 345 points.
Redshirt senior
Nicholas Young secured the men's squad's top finish, grabbing 41st place with a time of 24:14.9. At 42nd place, junior
Colin Caso registered a time of 24:17.5. Sophomore
Erin O'Brien earned the women's top performance placing 53rd, clocking in at 21:32.1. Junior
Gabi Barrera followed at 59th place, with a time of 21:40.9.

The Sooners head to Stillwater, Oklahoma, for the NCAA Midwest Regional on Nov. 10 to compete for a chance to qualify for the NCAA National Championships.
