NORMAN — The University of Oklahoma men's cross country team received an at-large bid to the 2025 NCAA Cross Country National Championships on Saturday.
Following their impressive performance at the Midwest Regional on Friday, Nov. 14, the Sooners were selected to compete in the championship during the NCAA selection show Saturday afternoon.

The men will return to the championships after ten years, last competing in the 2015 season, where they placed 15th, led by All-American Jacob Burcham, who finished 16th in the race.
The OU men headed into the postseason ranked No. 21 nationally and No. 3 in the Midwest region by the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association. OU finished third as a team Friday at the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Stillwater, Okla., after placing 11th last year.
The Sooners will visit the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Mo., on Saturday, Nov. 23 for the NCAA Championship. Jeruto will compete in the women's 6K at 9:20 a.m. CT, while the men will race a 10K at 10:10 a.m. CT.
To gain entry to the championships, the top-two teams from the nine regional meets automatically qualified and 14 additional teams were selected at-large for a total field of 32 teams. The first four regional finishers not from an automatic qualifying or at-large team secured an automatic bid to the championships.
