COLUMBIA, MO. — The University of Oklahoma men's cross country team capped off its season with a 15th-place finish at NCAA Nationals on Saturday.
The team had a strong overall finish in its first national competition since 2015, matching its 15th-place finish from a decade ago.
The freshmen men led the Sooners, as
Ronald Ngetich,
Evans Biwott and
Shadrack Kiptoo all finished in the top-100. Ngetich crossed first for OU, recording a PR of 29:12.4 and finishing 49th. Biwott and Kiptoo followed suit, both recording personal-best times and finishing 56th and 97th, respectively. Other scorers for the Sooners include sophomore
Thobias Cheruiyot (144th) and graduate student
Adrian Stuphan (234th).
Sophomore
Leah Jeruto kicked things off for the crimson and cream, finishing 60th in the women's 6K with a 19:38.6, 26 seconds faster than her time last year.
The Sooners now turn their attention to the 2025-26 indoor track and field season.
