Men's Tennis Set for Texas Road Trip

NORMAN – The No. 21 Oklahoma men's tennis team is set for a Texas two-step, heading to No. 6 Texas on Friday at 3 p.m. and No. 7 TCU on Sunday at 1 p.m.
The contest at Texas will be broadcast on the Longhorn Network.

Matchday Storylines

  • ITA No. 21 Oklahoma (10-10) heads to No. 6 Texas for the second match of the Red River Rivalry on Friday. The teams previously met in a non-conference clash on March 7 in Norman, where the Longhorns prevailed in a match that went to the wire, 4-3.
     
  • OU met TCU at ITA Kickoff Weekend in Fort Worth on Jan. 24. The Horned Frogs took that match 4-0.
     
  • The Longhorns lead the all-time Red River rivalry series 39-14. OU leads the all-time series with TCU 24-15, but the Horned Frogs have won the six of the last 10 matches.
     
  • The Sooners split the opening weekend of Big 12 play, routing then-No. 21 Texas Tech 6-1 before falling to No. 5 Baylor 5-2. Despite the loss to the Bears, OU's Mason Beiler came away with a big-time win, defeated No. 9 Matias Soto in straight sets to earn the highest-ranked victory of his career.
