Alvarez and Nhavene became the latest Oklahoma players to earn All-America recognition, following Alex Martinez, who concluded his senior season in 2024 ranked No. 15 nationally in singles.
Competing exclusively at the No. 1 doubles position, they routinely faced each opponent's strongest pairing and consistently delivered against some of the nation's top competition. The senior duo compiled 13 wins during the spring campaign, including seven victories against SEC opponents and six wins over nationally ranked doubles teams.
Alvarez and Nhavene played a significant role in Oklahoma's team success. The Sooners finished with a 20-7 overall record and a 10-4 mark in SEC play. Oklahoma closed the regular season on an eight-match winning streak that included five wins over top-15 opponents and three victories against top-10 teams. Along the way, the Sooners recorded 13 wins over nationally ranked teams, earned the No. 4 seed in the SEC Championship after finishing in a three-way tie for third place, climbed to a season-high national ranking of No. 8, and advanced to the NCAA Sweet Sixteen after winning 10 of the last 12 matches.
