NCAA HISTORY

Oklahoma is making its 17th appearance in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship and seventh under head coach Audra Cohen. The Sooners have now advanced to at least the second round in each of the last four NCAA Tournaments.

The program's deepest postseason run came in 2022, when Oklahoma advanced to the NCAA Championship match and finished as national runner-up. That season also saw the Sooners climb to a program-best No. 2 ranking in the ITA poll.

This year's No. 6 national seed is the second-highest in program history and last weekend marked the sixth time Oklahoma hosted NCAA opening weekend matches. The Sooners are now hosting Super Regional play for the third time in program history.

SOONERS IN THE RANKINGS

Oklahoma enters Super Regional play ranked No. 6 in the latest ITA team poll after climbing as high as No. 4 during the spring, the program's highest ranking since reaching No. 2 in 2022.

The Sooners feature three players in the ITA singles rankings, led by freshman Evialina Laskevich at No. 10 nationally. Edda Mamedova follows at No. 37, while senior Julia Garcia Ruiz comes in at No. 60.

In doubles, Oklahoma continues to boast one of the nation's top lineups. Roisin Gilheany and Gloriana Nahum hold the No. 1 doubles ranking nationally and have maintained the top spot since Nov. 25. The freshman duo of Mamedova and Laskevich is ranked No. 20.
