FAYETTEVILLE, ARK. – The University of Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams concluded the regular season at the Arkansas Qualifier in Fayetteville, Ark., Saturday night.
With a limited squad, the Sooners earned two first-place finishes, three new season bests and one spot on OU's all-time performance list.
To open the meet, graduate
Anthony Riley leaped to a season-best 7.57 (24-10) mark in the men's long jump for third place. Riley now sits at No. 9 on OU's all-time performance list. Junior
Nikaoli Williams jumped to 7.41 (24-3.75) for fourth.
Junior
Pippi Lotta Enok ran for 8.76 in the women's 60-meter hurdles prelims.
In the women's 60-meter dash prelims, junior
Destini Jeter clocked in at 7.89.
Two new season bests highlighted the women's long jump. Senior
Jasmine Akins recorded 5.87 (19-3.25) and junior Nebton N'Da registered 5.72 (18-9.25).
Junior
Peter Makuei ran to 8:40.74 in the men's 3000m.
Two Sooners ran in the women's 800m, sophomores
Kailynn Jackson registered 2:19.50 and
Kel McDavid with a 2:19.74 time.
Senior
Paige Low took the women's shot put title with a 17.10 (56-1.25) mark.
Women's triple jumper sophomore
Agur Dwol leaped to 12.55 (41-2.25).
The women's 4x400-meter dash grabbed a 3:49.05 time.
UP NEXT
The Sooners head to Lubbock, Texas, for the Big 12 Championship hosted by Texas Tech Feb. 22-24.
