EUGENE, Ore. — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams wrapped up competition Saturday at the NCAA Outdoor Championships at Hayward Field, highlighted by a pair of All-America performances from Chesni Scott and Domtila Cheruto.
Scott earned Second Team All-America honors in her NCAA Outdoor Championships debut, recording a season-best throw of 55.39m (181'8.00") to finish 12th in the women's discus.
Senior Angel Richmore concluded her Oklahoma career with a 17th-place finish in the heptathlon, totaling 5,700 points to earn NCAA Outdoor Honorable Mention recognition. Richmore recorded a season-best mark of 5.88m (19'3.50") in the long jump, placed fourth in the javelin with a throw of 43.07m (141'3.00") and closed the competition with a season-best time of 2:22.08 in the 800 meters.
After earning Second Team All-America honors in the women's 10,000 meters on Thursday, freshman Domtila Cheruto added another All-America finish Saturday, clocking 15:47.30 in the women's 5,000 meters to place 15th. Cheruto closes a remarkable freshman campaign with two Second Team All-America honors and four school records.
The Sooners wrapped up the championships with two First Team All-Americans, led by NCAA discus champion Ralford Mullings. BJ Green added a bronze-medal finish in the men's triple jump to earn First Team All-America honors.
The Sooners conclude the 2025-26 season with 18 NCAA Championships qualifying marks, six First Team All-America honors, eight Second Team All-America honors, two SEC champions, 147 meet titles, 10 school records, 75 top-10 marks in program history and 205 collegiate personal bests across the indoor and outdoor seasons. Oklahoma will look to build on that success as it turns its attention toward the 2026-27 campaign.
