Cross Country Announces 2023 Schedule

NORMAN - University of Oklahoma head track and field/cross country coach Tim Langford announced OU's 2023 cross country schedule on Monday.

The Sooners will compete in four regular season meets in the fall before postseason competition begins in Ames, Iowa, at the Big 12 Cross Country Championships on Oct. 28.

Oklahoma opens the season Friday, Sept. 1, at the Cowboy Preview in Stillwater, Okla., before traveling to Lubbock, Texas, for the Texas Tech Open on Friday, Sept. 15. The Sooners' next meet, the annual Chile Pepper Cross Country Festival in Fayetteville, Ark., will be held Sept. 29. OU will wrap up the regular season in College Station, Texas, at the Arturo Barrios Invitational on Friday, Oct. 13.

Following the Big 12 Cross Country Championships, OU will travel back to Stillwater for the NCAA Midwest Regionals on Friday, Nov. 10. The NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships will be held Saturday, Nov. 18, in Charlottesville, Va.
