OU XC Headed to Chile Pepper Festival

NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams are headed to Fayetteville, Ark., for the Chile Pepper XC Festival.

The Sooners are coming off their best team finish in five years after the women took first with 41 points and the men took second with 71 points at the Texas Tech Open.

Friday's meet will be held at the University of Arkansas cross country course in Fayetteville. The Sooners will be hitting the course with over 30 teams, highlighted by a match-up with No. 5 Tulsa and No. 16 Arkansas on the men's side and No. 13 Arkansas for the women's.

The women will run the 5k at 4:30 p.m. CT, while the men toe the line for the 8k at 5 p.m. CT. The Sooners will feature eight women's runners and eight on the men's side.
