NORMAN - The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross-country teams continue their 2022 season Saturday in Lubbock, Texas at the Texas Tech Open.
The meet, held at the Chaparral Ridge Cross Country Course, will feature 18 teams from across the country. The men will run an 8k at 8:15 a.m. CT prior to the 6k race for the women's teams at 8:40 a.m. CT. The Sooners will feature eight women's runners and eight on the men's side.
The Sooners head to Lubbock two weeks after their season opener at Gans Creek Cross Country Course for the Mizzou XC Opener, Sept. 1. Both OU squads placed second at the meet. The women finished their 5K with a time of 1:31:19.4, while the men completed the 6K course at 1:33:26.2.
