Live Results Hurricane Alumni Invitational Schedule

NORMAN - The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Coral Gables, Fla., for the Hurricane Alumni Invitational, April 8-9, hosted by the University of Miami.

The meet is scheduled to begin with men's discus throw at 10 a.m. CT on Friday. Day two will kick off at 11:30 a.m. with men's javelin throw. The Sooners are expected to have 53 athletes competing.

TEXAS RELAYS REWIND

Redshirt junior Vernon Turner cleared a first-place jump at 7-6.50 (2.30m) in men's high jump to set an outdoor school record, move to No. 1 in the nation and tie for first in the world.

Field events were highlighted by freshman Olivia Lueking's outdoor school record in women's pole vault. Lueking cleared 14-7.25 (4.45m) to take first place at her first collegiate outdoor meet. On the men's side, senior Bayley Campbell set another men's hammer throw school record with his PR at 220-3 (67.14m), while redshirt senior Edward Jeans threw a personal best at 214-5 (65.37m).

Junior Mikeisha Welcome took third in women's triple jump, leaping a 44-4.75 (13.53m), while redshirt senior Garry Williams placed sixth for the men, marking a 51-6.25 (15.70m).

Redshirt senior Lauren Jones represented the Sooners in 'Section A' by taking third with a mark at 179-6 (54.72m).

On the track, the team of Karson Kowalchuk, Richard Kuykendoll, Demarius Smith, and Marlowe Mosley clocked the No. 6 time in school history at 39.28 to qualify for the men's 4x100-meter relay finals.
