CORAL GABLES, Fla. — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams concluded their time at the Hurricane Alumni Invitational in Coral Gables, Fla., with seven victories and multiple personal records.
Friday's action kicked off with senior
Bayley Campbell marking a big PR at 224-7.00 (68.47m) in men's hammer throw for fourth place to set a new school record, while redshirt senior
Edward Jeans also claimed a personal record at 215-3.00 (65.61m) for fifth place.

Lauren Jones grabbed first place in women's hammer throw, marking 213-10.00 (65.19m). Following behind, senior
Abby Moore threw for 186-2 (56.75m), while junior
Geraldine Udo placed seventh with a mark at 179-1 (54.58m).
Jones competed in her second event following hammer throw, taking second in the women's discus throw invite, marking 172-2 (52.49m). Sophomore
Paige Low took seventh with a mark at 157-2 (47.91m).
Junior
Bryant Parlin grabbed fifth place in men's discus throw with a mark at 157-8 (48.06m).
Freshman
Kason O'Riley and junior
Keith Drapeau both cleared 6-9.50 (2.07m) in men's high jump. It came down to the two of them in a jumpoff after an unsuccessful clearing at 6-11.50 (2.12m) in three attempts. To decide first place, both Sooners earned a fourth attempt at the height, with O'Riley claiming the top spot. Officially, O'Riley took first place at 6-9.50 (2.07m).
On the women's side, redshirt senior
Ja'Sha Sloan and senior
Madison Langley-Walker fought for second place. Based on attempts at 5-9.25 (1.76m), Sloan took second while Langley-Walker grabbed third.
Freshman
Olivia Lueking closed out day one with her first-place finish in women's pole vault, clearing 14-1.25 (4.30m).
Saturday got started with
Kayla Kurtz throwing a fifth-place finish in women's javelin throw, marking 149-3 (45.50m).
On the track, the women's 4x100-meter relay squad of
Camri Austin,
Ja'Leesa Giles,
Mikayla Hayes, and
Kennedy Blackmon clocked a time of 44.80 to take first place.
Jordyn Kaplan took second, with a time of 4:36.36, while
Gabi Barrera made her outdoor debut with a fourth-place time of 4:48.81, in the women's 1500-meter run. For the men,
Lucas Badcock took second in the 1500-meter run, clocking a PR at 3:54.18.
Madison Langley-Walker took third in the women's 100-meter hurdles, by clocking a PR at 13.64 to move her into the top 10 in school history, while
Camri Austin placed fourth, with a time of 13.71 (-1.0).
Joey Zayszly finished fourth with a time of 14.61 men's 110-meter hurdles.
Richard Kuykendoll took first place in the men's 400-meter dash, clocking a PR at 45.87.
Kennedy Blackmon placed second with a time of 11.61, while
Mikayla Hayes finished seventh, clocking an 11.87, in the women's 100-meter dash. On the men's side,
Karson Kowalchuk (10.48),
Josh Bour (10.50),
Alajuwan Robinson (10.53) and
Quoi Ellis (10.54), placed fourth, fifth, seventh, and eighth, respectively.
Daneesha Davidson placed third with a PR time of 1:00.53, while
Jania Hodges took fourth with a time of 1:00.61 in the women's 400-meter hurdles.
Anass Mghari grabbed second with a PR at 1:48.70 to move to No. 8 in OU history, while
Fernando Morales took sixth, clocking a 1:52.82 in the men's 800-meter run.
Josh Bour claimed fourth place in the men's 200-meter dash with a 21.06, while
Quoi Ellis finished sixth with a time of 21.29.
The women's 4x400-meter relay team of
Jada Atkinson,
Kennedy Blackmon,
Jenna James and
Madison Langley-Walker clocked a 3:44.84 to take third place.
On the field,
Payden Montana collected her seventh win of the 2022 season, marking a PR at 58-8 (17.88m) for first place in the women's shot put invitational. Following behind,
Abby Moore placed fifth with a throw at 52-10 (16.10m), while
Faith Ette finished sixth, marking 51-3.50 (15.63m).
On the men's side,
Cooper Campbell grabbed first place, marking a season best at 63-9.50 (19.44m), while
Diego Trevino threw a PR at 59-1.25 (18.01m) and moved to No. 8 in OU history.
Bryant Parlin rounded out the Sooners with a sixth-place throw at 55-6.25 (16.92m).
Vernon Turner represented the Sooners in long jump, taking second with a leap at an overall personal best, 25-0.75 (7.64m).
Paige Low placed third in women's shot put, marking a 47-10.50 (14.59m).
Junior
Mikeisha Welcome snagged first place in women's triple jump, marking 44-2.50 (13.47m). Right behind,
Nicole Ezeoke finished fifth, with a mark at 40-9.75 (12.44m), while
Allanah Lee placed sixth, marking a 40-7.50 (12.38m).
Redshirt senior
Garry Williams closed out the meet with a second-place mark in men's triple jump at 52-3.75 (15.94m).
