NORMANĀ - The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams are set to begin their outdoor campaign in Fort Worth, Texas at the TCU Invitational, March 18-19. The meet will be held at the Lowdon Track Complex on the campus of TCU.
Outdoor season will introduce new events into the meet schedule, allowing outdoor event student-athletes the opportunity to join their indoor teammates in competition.

The meet will kick off on Friday with only one event, the men's discus throw at 3:30 p.m. CT, with women to follow.

Saturday's action will begin at 9:30 a.m. with men's hammer throw and women to follow. Running events will begin at 3 p.m. with the men's 400-meter relay and women to follow. The meet is predicted to wrap up at 5:40 p.m., closing out with the 1600-meter relay.

LOOKING AHEAD
The TCU Invitational is the Sooners' first of seven regular season outdoor meets before postseason kicks off in May. OU will travel to Austin, Texas for the Texas Relays and then head to Miami, Fla. for the Hurricane Alumni Invitational two weeks later. The team will spend back-to-back weekends at home, hosting the Sooner Invitational and Multis and the John Jacobs Invitational. The squad will close out the regular season in College Station, Texas for the Alumni Muster, hosted by Texas A&M.

Postseason will begin with the Big 12 Outdoor Championships in Lubbock, Texas, May 13-15. The opening competition to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, the NCAA West Regional Prelims, is slated for May 26-28 in Fayetteville, Ark. The outdoor season will officially close out at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Ore., on June 8-11.
NCAA INDOOR CHAMPIONSHIPS REWIND
Turner highlighted Oklahoma's run at the indoor nationals, clearing a season-best at 7-7.25 (2.32m) on his second attempt to claim the title. With the first-place finish, Turner became the first high jump NCAA indoor champion in Oklahoma history.

Olivia LuekingĀ made her NCAA Indoor Championships debut by snatching a first-team All-America honor with a fourth-place finish in pole vault, clearing 14-5.50 (4.41m).
In women's shot put, juniorĀ
Payden MontanaĀ earned first team All-America honors. Her best mark came from her fourth attempt at 56-7.25 (17.25m), securing sixth place.Ā
JuniorĀ
Mikeisha WelcomeĀ was named a second team All-American in women's triple jump with a leap of 41-8 (12.70m).
