Sooners Wrap Up Season Opener

STILLWATER, Okla. — The University of Oklahoma men's and women's cross country teams returned to action for the first time this season in Stillwater Wednesday morning at the Cowboy Preview.

Both OU squads placed third at the meet with the women finishing their 3K in a total time of 58:34, while the men's completed the 5K course in a total time of 1:22:41.

Junior Carson Hockersmith (11:28.1) led all Sooners with a seventh-place finish. Senior Jordan Gledhill (16:15.3) took 11th to pace the men.

The Sooners return to the course Sept. 18 back in Stillwater for the Cowboy Jamboree at 8 a.m. on the OSU Cross Country Course.
