NORMAN – The University of Oklahoma track and field team continues its outdoor season this weekend in San Antonio, Texas, at the Roadrunner Invitational. The meet will be held at the Park West Athletics Complex on the campus of UT-San Antonio.
The Sooners opened their 2019 outdoor season last Saturday at the TCU Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas. The men's and women's squad combined to collect a total of 12 event victories in the outdoor debut.
Women's hammer throw will be the first event that OU student-athletes will participate in at the Roadrunner Invitational on Friday, scheduled to start at 1 p.m. CT with the men's hammer to follow. The men's and women's shot put and javelin throw will also be held on Friday afternoon following the hammer throws. Saturday's action will begin at 11 a.m. with the men's and women's pole vault. The remaining field events of high jump, long jump, triple jump and discus are scheduled to run until 2 p.m. The first running event will be the men's steeplechase set to start at 2 p.m. The meet will continue on a running schedule until the last event, the 4x400-meter relays in the evening.
