Women's Tennis Concludes Fall Season

NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's tennis team wrapped up the season at the Tiger Fall Classic with 12 wins over the weekend.
In doubles action, Jasmine Asghar and Oleksandra Korashvili went 2-1 as a duo. The seniors took out LSU's Eden Richardson and Nina Geissler, 7-5, and TCU's Chloe Hule and Stevie Kennedy, 6-2.
Camila Romero and Ivana Corley grabbed a win over Saifya Carrington and Luba Vailyuk (LSU), 7-5, while Skyler Miller and Kianah Motosono topped Tiffany Chen and Stephanie Schrage (Princeton), 7-6 (4).
In singles, Asghar went 2-1 with defeats of Addy Guevara (TCU), 4-6, 6-4, 6-1, and Nathalie Rodilosso (Princeton), 6-0, 6-1, before falling to Nina Geissler (LSU), 6-1, 7-5.
Corley also went 2-1 as she took down TCU's Stevie Kennedy, 6-3, 6-1, and Vasilyuk (LSU), 6-3, 6-4. The Sooner fell to Frayman (Princeton), 6-3, 6-3.
Motosono was a perfect 2-0 on the weekend. The sophomore handled a pair of Princeton players in Chen, 6-1, 6-2, and Grace Joyce, 1-6, 7-5, 6-3.
Miller picked up a win over Rodilosso (Princeton), 7-5, 6-2, and Romero routed Tiffany Chen (Princeton), 6-0, 6-1.
Junior Martina Capurro also saw her fall season come to a close at the ITA National Fall Championships. Capurro fell to UCLA's Jada Hart, 6-1, 6-1, in the opening round before moving to consolation. The Sooner dropped a heartbreaker to Janice Shin (Stanford), 1-6, 7-5, 7-5.
The Sooners will return to the court in January for spring duals. A schedule will be released at a later date.
