BOULDER, Co. – Two runners from the University of Oklahoma cross country program competed in the USA Cross Country Championships in Boulder, Co., on Saturday, Feb. 15. Kyle Polman and Daniel Aldaba represented the OU team as they competed in the junior division of the competition.
Polman, a freshman from Independence, Ohio, placed seventh in the 8K race with a 26:01. Aldaba, a freshman from Fremont, Neb., finished 11th in the race with a combined time of 26:30.
Polman competed for OU in five of six cross country meets last fall, including the Big 12 and NCAA Regional championships. Aldaba ran in three of the six season meets for the Sooners, including the conference meet.
In order to compete in the junior competition, athletes must be between the ages of 14 and 19. Athletes must also be members of the United States Track and Field Association.
