Cross Country Holds Steady in Regional Poll

NORMAN, Okla. -- The University of Oklahoma cross country program held steady in the latest Midwest Region rankings provided Monday by the U.S Track and Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA) as the Oklahoma men held the No. 2 position while the Oklahoma women stayed at No. 13.

The Sooners' last competition was Sept. 4, at the Hurricane Cross Country Invitational in Tulsa, Okla. Both the men and women placed third in their respective divisions, with Patrick Gomez the top finisher for the OU men and Molly Ferguson the top finisher for the women.

Oklahoma has one more weekend off before heading to Stillwater, Okla., for the Cowboy Jamboree on Sept. 25.
