The Oklahoma men's squad is coming off an accomplished season last year that saw the team finish 12th at the NCAA National Championships, second at the NCAA Midwest Regional and record its highest finish ever at the Big 12 Championship in third. The entire men's team returns from last season, including Big 12 Newcomer of the Year Bill Kogel, and fellow All-Midwest Region honorees Kevin Schwab, Rob Sorrell and Jeremy Sudbury.
The Sooner women return four letter winners from last season and add four highly-touted newcomers in Robin Ray, Hilary Krein, Annie Martin and Kelsey Brown.
Both Sooner squads jumped in the preseason rankings from last season, where the men were ranked No. 6 and the women came in at No. 14.
The 2010 cross country season begins this Saturday, in Tulsa, Okla., at the Hurricane Cross Country Festival.
