NORMAN — The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams continue postseason action this week at the NCAA West Prelim Regional Championships, hosted May 27-30 at John McDonnell Field in Fayetteville, Ark. A total of 44 Sooners earned 41 regional entries for the meet.
Athletes who finish in the top 12 of their respective events will qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Championships, set for June 10-13 in Eugene, Ore. Live results for the meet can be found via Flash Results.
Oklahoma's Angel Richmore already secured her place at the NCAA Outdoor Championships after earning one of the top-24 national marks in the women's heptathlon.
The four-day meet begins Wednesday evening with the men's long jump. Thursday's action starts at 9:30 a.m. CT with the women's hammer throw. Friday opens at 1 p.m. CT with the men's discus, while Saturday begins at 1 p.m. CT with the women's discus.
The Sooners are coming off a strong showing at the SEC Outdoor Championships in Auburn, Ala., where Oklahoma produced two conference champions and four additional medalists.
BJ Green defended his SEC title in the men's triple jump, while Ralford Mullings captured his second consecutive SEC crown in the men's discus. Riley Ammenhauser earned silver in the women's triple jump, Jacelyn Neighbors took bronze in the women's pole vault, Domtila Cheruto secured bronze in the women's 10,000 meters and Angel Richmore earned bronze in the heptathlon.
Oklahoma enters the weekend with several top-10 national marks. Ralford Mullings holds the No. 2 mark in the NCAA in the men's discus, while BJ Green ranks No. 2 nationally in the men's triple jump. Tyson Ritz sits No. 7 in the men's high jump, while Kennedy Stringfellow ranks No. 7 in the men's long jump. Trey Bartholomew also enters the meet ranked No. 10 nationally in the men's high jump.
The Sooners are in their second season in the SEC, one of the premier conferences in collegiate track and field. In their inaugural season, Oklahoma captured eight individual conference titles and finished fourth on the women's side at the 2025 SEC Indoor Championship. At the 2025 NCAA Outdoor Championships, the men earned a sixth-place finish, the program's best outdoor nationals result in 28 years.
