NORMAN — The Oklahoma track and field team is set to host the Oklahoma Classic Friday, Feb. 6, at the Mosier Indoor Track & Field Facility.
The meet will kick off with running events at 1 p.m. CT, followed by field events at 1:30 p.m., with an estimated finish at 7:30 p.m. Doors are set to open at 12 p.m., and admission is free for all spectators.
LAST TIME OUT
Officially one month out from the postseason, the Sooners look to continue on their upward trajectory during the final meets of the regular season. The men stay steady at No. 6 in the USTFCCCA TFRI National Rankings, while the men's high jump holds the No. 1 spot in the event ranking.
Last weekend, Senior
BJ Green took the national lead in the long jump with his meet and facility record-breaking jump of 16.81m (55'2.00"), earning him SEC Co-Field Athlete of the Week honors. Graduate transfer
Chloe Rodriguez is slated to compete in the 60-meter hurdles and 600-yard run, and currently holds four event titles this season.
RUN IT BACK
The Sooners enter their second season in the SEC, a league known for track and field dominance. Oklahoma made a standout first impression during its inaugural season, including eight individual conference titles and a fourth-place finish from the women's team at the 2025 SEC Indoor Championship. At NCAA Outdoors a season ago, the men brought home a sixth-place finish, good for the best outdoor nationals finish for an OU team in 28 years.
