Green Impresses at Day Two of DeLoss Dodds Invitational

MANHATTAN, KAN. — OU's track and field men's and women's teams capped off day two of the DeLoss Dodds Invitational Saturday, highlighted by a national lead in the triple jump from senior BJ Green.

Green impressed in his second showing of the year, breaking both the facility and meet records in the men's triple jump with his leap of 16.81m (55'2.00"), good for the national lead and No. 2 in the world.

In the women's mile, senior Montana Monk (4:55.57) and sophomore Mary Van Dyke (4:56.81) both clocked personal best times to finish third and fourth, respectively.

Senior Maggie Mullings was the top collegiate finisher in the women's shot put, placing second with a toss of 15.18m (49'9.75"), while redshirt sophomore Tyley Dotson followed just behind in third with a mark of 15.03m (49'3.75").

In the women's open 400-meter, graduate transfer Chloe Rodriguez clocked 55.16 to add another win to her OU resume.

Junior Tucker Smith finished second in the men's weight throw with his toss of 18.22m (59'9.50"), while senior Will Dibo followed close for third with his throw of 17.86m (58'7.25").

Sophomore Keith Griffin III took second in the men's open 400-meter with a time of 48.10.

The Sooners return to action next Friday, Feb. 6, at home for the Oklahoma Classic.
