NORMAN – Fresh off a victory at the spring-opening Paradise Invitational, Oklahoma continues its season in Sarasota, Fla., at the second annual Spartan Sun Coast Invitational at Palm Aire Country Club on Feb. 16-17.

The traditional 5-count-4, 54-hole event opens on Sunday morning as head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell enters the same lineup that won at the Paradise Invite. Gracie Mayo, who claimed medalist honors at the Paradise, will be joined by Savannah Barber, Reagan Chaney, Audrey Rischer and MaKayla Tyrrell.

In the inaugural event last season, the Sooners placed fifth in the 15-team field while Mayo finished third in the individual race.

LAST TIME OUT
The Sooners opened their spring slate by sweeping the team and individual titles at the Paradise Invitational, finishing 28-under par to hold off 14 teams and win. Mayo (1, -11) took home her first career title, while three other Sooners placed in the top five.

Tyrrell carded a strong final round to reach third place. Barber and Rischer filled out the top five, tying for fourth at 5-under, both with their best finishes of the season. Chaney rounded out the OU lineup, tying for 35th.
