History & Tradition

With three of the best years in school history in 2012, 2013 and 2014, Oklahoma officially went from a program on the rise to a national contender. Chirapat Jao-Javanil captured the program's first individual national championship in 2012, while the team won a Big 12 title and tied for sixth at NCAAs. Statistically, the Sooners were even better in 2013 and finished with a No. 4 national ranking. OU again won the Big 12 title in 2014 and recorded the program's best ever NCAA finish (fourth place).
