July 03, 2024 | Women's Golf

NORMAN – University of Oklahoma women's golfers Nina Lang and Isabelle Schlick were tabbed 2023-24 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars

Lang earned the honor for the third consecutive year, and Schlick received the accolade for the first time as a member of the Crimson and Cream. An Oklahoma golfer has made the scholar team in eight straight seasons. Lang and then-freshman Raychel Nelke earned a place on the 2022-23 scholar team.

Lang made the OU lineup in eight events, including the Sooners' victory at The Match Play at Jimmie Austin. Schlick competed in every tournament in 2023-24 and tallied three top-10 finishes, including her third-place performance at the Hurricane Invitational.

The WGCA announced the 2023-24 WGCA All-American Scholar Team on Monday, July 1, and recognized 1,497 women's collegiate golfers from 412 programs.

To be eligible for the accolade, a golfer must maintain a 3.50 GPA or higher and play in 50% of the team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year.
