NORMAN – For the 14th time in program history, the Oklahoma women's tennis team will participate in the NCAA Championships. The Sooners will head to College Station, Texas for the first two rounds of team competition.
OU will face Arizona in the opening round while host Texas A&M will face Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. The winners of the first-round matchups will face off in the second round with the winner advancing to super regional competition the following weekend.
"I think we're really excited," head coach Audra Cohen said. "Texas A&M is a location we will end up visiting next year in the SEC and it's exciting for this group since we have six new players who will get to prepare for a big moment."
Oklahoma finished the 2024 regular season with an 18-6 record and 11-2 finish in conference play.
The Sooners are making their 14th NCAA Tournament appearance and fifth under Cohen. OU has advanced to the super regionals in each of the last two seasons.
