Chaney T1st, Sooners 4th After 36 Holes of The Bruzzy

ARDMORE, Okla. – Junior Reagan Chaney is tied for first and Oklahoma women's golf (17-over, 577) is in fourth after the first 36 holes of The Bruzzy at Dornick Hills Country Club.
Chaney, an Ardmore, Okla. product, is one of three golfers under par and is tied with Notre Dame's Lauren Beaudreau. She opened the tournament with a 1-under 69 and finished the second round 2-under 68. Chaney recorded a bogey on her opening hole and rattled off eight pars before back-to-back birdies. She tallied her second and last bogey on the par-5 16th and moved back to one under after her third birdie on the 17th. In the second round, Chaney recorded birdies on the first and 10th holes.
Sophomore Savannah Barber is tied for 26th, opening with a 6-over 76 and finishing with an even-par 70. Barber started the second round with five consecutive pars and notched her first birdie on the par-5 sixth hole. She moved to 1-over after bogeys on the seventh and 10th holes and notched her second birdie on the 11th. Barber wrapped up the round with birdies on the 15th and 18th and a double bogey on the 16th.
Senior Nina Lang tied for 37th (9-over 149), tallying a 2-over 72 with two birdies and a 7-over 77. Sophomores Isabelle Schlick and Gracie Mayo are tied for 45th (10-over 150), recording rounds of 78-72 and 77-73, respectively. Schlick opened the second round with an ace on the par-3 165-yard second hole.
As an individual, freshman Holly McLean is tied for 37th (9-over, 149). McLean recorded rounds of 73-76, tallying three birdies in her first 18.
