Austin, Texas – The University of Oklahoma track and field team wrapped up day two of Texas Relays held in Austin, Texas, Friday night.
Twenty-two Sooners competed on day two of the meet. Five earned new career bests.
The women's 4x100-meter relay of
Amanda Obijiaku,
Alexis Williams,
Jada Atkinson and
Jordyn Price collected 13th place with a 45.74 time.
A freshman duo in the men's 110-meter hurdles earned career bests.
Austin Kiser registered 14.28 and
Cameron Jackson recorded 14.65.
Anthony Riley secured fifth in the men's long jump (section B) with a 7.32m (24'0.25") leap.
In the women's high jump (section B),
Angel Richmore recorded 1.70m (5'7") for third place.
Two Sooners competed in the women's long jump (section B), where
Nebtom N'Da leaped to 5.52m (18'1.25") and
Agur Dwol recorded 5.23m (17'2").
Bryant Parlin took second in the men's shot put (section B), with a career-best 17.92m (58'9.50") mark.
Pippi Lotta Enok threw 46.76m (153'5") in the women's javelin (section A) for ninth.
In the women's 100m timed final,
Amanda Obijiaku grabbed fifth with a 11.57 time and
Alexis Williams clocked 11.65 for 12th.
The women's 4x400-meter relay of
Jayda Gibson,
Alexis Williams,
Nia Parks and
Jada Atkinson just missed qualification for the final after finishing 10th with a 3:40.43 time.
Jasmine Akins put up a career performance in section A of the women's long jump. She recorded a 6.54m (21'5.50") mark for second place.
Two freshman competed in the men's high jump (section B).
Kyren Washington grabbed the Sooners' best finish with a career-high mark of 2.11m (6'11") for 11th.
Tyson Ritz jumped for 2.01m (6'7").
Paige Low concluded the day in section A of the women's discus, securing fifth place and a 51.24m (168'1") mark.
