NORMAN - The Oklahoma men's tennis team is set to host the Cornell Red Bears on Sunday, Feb. 25, at 2 p.m. inĀ the first home match for the Sooners since Feb. 4.Ā
Matches for the 2024 men's tennis season are free of charge and open to the public. Due to the elimination of concessions, fans are encouraged to bring their own food and drinks. Free pizza and schedule posters will be provided along with a racquet giveaway for fans in attendance. The clear bag policy will be in place.Ā

The Sooners put up a fight againstĀ No. 22 Florida StateĀ on the road but lost the match, 5-2.
After dropping the doubles point,Ā the Sooners forced third sets in four of their six singles matches with a pair of Sooners picking up wins.
SophomoreĀ Luis Alvarez came back from a first-set loss to take a win on court five, 5-7, 6-2, 6-4 and freshmanĀ Kholo Montsi came away with an impressive straight-set win at the three line, 6-0, 6-2.
Cornell currently has one doubles pair and one singles player present in ITA rankings. Felipe Pinzon and Samuel Paquette sit at the No. 42 spot, just two positions below OU's No. 40 Alex Martinez andĀ Montsi. Radu Papoe is currently in the No. 33 spot in the singles rankings and is the only player representing the Red Bears on the singles side.
The Sooners host back-to-back matches, facing No. 18 San Diego on Friday, March 8, at 6 p.m. and taking on Virginia Commonwealth on Sunday, March 10, at 10 a.m.
