Women’s Tennis Set for TCU Jae Foundation Invitational

NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's tennis team continues the fall season as the squad travels to Fort Worth for the TCU Jae Foundation Invitational, from Nov. 1-3 at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center.
Featuring 18 teams, the four-day event will utilize a hidden dual format (4 vs. 4 doubles and 8 vs. 8 singles). Along with OU and host school TCU, the field will include BYU, Notre Dame, Arizona, Auburn, Illinois, Maryland, Rice, Texas A&M, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Baylor, SMU, Missouri, Texas Tech, Cincinnati and Kansas.
Four Sooners are set to compete throughout the weekend in Texas: Senior Ava Catanzarite, junior Julia Garcia Ruiz, and freshmen Emma Ghirardato and Cara Mester are all to play in their third tournament of the season.
Beginning the weekend with singles play against Northwestern on Friday, Nov. 1, Oklahoma will round out the day one schedule with additional singles matches against Notre Dame and Kansas and continue play through Sunday, Nov. 3.

The Jae Foundation is a non-profit organization focused on mental health, depression, and suicide awareness. Proceeds from the tournament will be donated to the foundation.
