Chaney Named SEC Golfer of the Week

NORMAN – Senior women's golfer Reagan Chaney was named SEC Golfer of the Week Tuesday after a pair of top-five finishes at her last two events.
Chaney recorded rounds of 68-71-68 at the Jim West Invitational, firing an eagle and 13 birdies over 72 holes to grab a share of second. Chaney, whose runner-up finish was the best of her career, led the Sooners to third place as a team.
The week prior, Chaney competed as an individual and placed fourth at the Dale McNamara Invitational with rounds of 66-72-76. Her opening-round 66 was the lowest round of her career and led the field after 18 holes.
Chaney is in her third year at OU and has competed in 20 events for Oklahoma after transferring from Oklahoma City University following her freshman season. Last spring, she earned All-Big 12 Tournament Team honors after finishing eighth at the Big 12 Championship.
Chaney and the Sooners return to action Monday, Oct. 28, at the Charles Schwab Invitational in Fort Worth, Texas.
