NORMANĀ - The Oklahoma women's tennis team enters the 2024 season at No. 13 in the ITA Preseason Rankings, the association announced Wednesday.
After coming off a 2023 season that saw them earn their 13thĀ NCAA tournamentĀ appearance, the Sooners will hit the court with their second consecutive top-15 ITA preseason ranking.
The 2024 team features four returners from the 2023 season and seven newcomers: Some familiar faces include: Big-12 All-Freshman

Dana Guzman, CSC Academic All-District honoree
Emma Staker and her doubles partner

OU also checked in at No. 3 in the preseason Big 12 poll, the conference announced Wednesday. The Sooners earn their placements after a successful 2023 season by coming off a trip to the NCAA Super Regionals. The team collected 22 wins, two of them against top-10 teams and six over top-25's, reached the ITA National Indoor Championship for the second time in program history, and claimed a share of the Big 12 regular season title for back-to-back years.
The squad opens the 2024 season on Friday, Jan. 12, hosting a doubleheader against Wichita State and Wyoming.
