OU Hosts First Two Rounds of the NCAA Tournament

NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's tennis team earned the No. 13 national seed for the 2023 NCAA tournament, the NCAA announced Monday evening. The Sooners will host the first and second round May 5-6 at the Headington Family Tennis Center.

OU will open the tournament on Friday, May 5 against Hawaii (14-7) at 3 p.m. CT, while Arkansas (12-11) and Washington (17-8) face off on the other side of the bracket at noon. The winner of each match will play in the second round on Saturday, May 6 at 1 p.m. CT, with the winner advancing to the super-regional competition next weekend.

The 2023 season marks the program's 13th NCAA tournament appearance and fourth under head coach Audra Cohen.

Singles and doubles selections and brackets will be revealed Tuesday, May 2.

The 2023 championship will take place in Orlando, Fla., May 17-27.
