WICHITA, Kan., - The University of Oklahoma track and field team is traveled a limited squad to Wichita, Kan., for the KT Woodman Classic, April 7.Ā
The Sooners return to Norman with three victories and just as many personal bests. Ā
Sierra Williams kicked things off in the women's 800-meter run and crossed the finish line at 2:10.81 for first place. She was followed by freshman Kailynn Jackson who ran a personal-best time of 2:17.86. Ā
On the men's side of the event, Isaac Barrera clocked a 1:51.46 to collect the second first-place finish for the Sooners. Ā
Gabi Barrera took home first place in the women's 3k steeplechase with a time of 10:56.93, which is good for the seventh fastest time in program history. Ā
The women's 1,500-meter race saw Danielle Rinn finish in sixth place with a personal-best time of 4:34.36, while Jordyn Kaplan (4:43.26) finished in twelfth. Ā
Jordan Gledhill closed competition out for the Sooners and clocked a personal best time of 3:55.55 on the men's side of the 1,500-meter for 16th place. Ā
