NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma track and field team concludedĀ day two of the Sooner Invite and Multis, Saturday evening.Ā
The Sooners finished the day with nineĀ first place finishes and a new school record in the women's heptathlon. Ā
To start off the day, Kassidy Sani won the women's javelin throw with a launch of 145-05 (44.34m). She was followed by Kayla Kurtz (40.92m) in third, Amiyah Norwood (38.5m) in fifth, and Crislyn Cole (32.94m) in seventh. Ā
Next, Pippi Lotta Enok won the women's heptathlon and shattered a 40-year-old school record with 5,782 points. She currently ranks second in the Big 12 and third in the NCAA. Ā
The women's 4x100 relay squad (Eva Kubickova, Jada Atkinson, Lilan Henderson and Mikayla Hayes) clocked a 45.28 for a second-place finish. On the men's side, the Sooners ran two relay teams and Carter Cukerstein, Josh Bour, A'lajuwan Robinson, and Jaylen Barringer claimed second with 40.30, while Zarik Brown, Salim Epps, Muzuri Mattar, and Richard Kuykendoll finished in third at 40.41. Ā
The women's 1500-meter race saw Sierra Williams (4:30.78) take second place, while Gabi Barrera (4:38.97), Erin O'Brien (4:39.37), and Jordyn Kaplan (4:39.65) finished sixth, seventh, and eighth, respectively. Ā
Ashonti Warner won the women's 400-meter with a time of 53.54. On the men's side, Mattar ran a personal-best time of 45.81 to also win first place.Ā
In the 110-meter hurdles, David Warmington crossed the finish line with a personal best time of 14.13 for second place. Ā
The women's 100-meter race concluded with Mikayla Hayes running a 11.77 for third place. She was followed by Kubickova (11.82) in fourth and Henderson (12.03) in seventh. On the men's side, Bour clocked a 10.63 to take home second place. Ā
Yazmine Wright took home her second win of the weekend with a time of 2:08.31 in the women's 800-meter run. Ā
Paige Low finished third in the women's discus throw with a launch of 163-06 (49.83m). She was followed by Kassidy Sani and Payden Montana who both tied for fifth place at 156-10 (47.81m). Ā
Next, Daneesha Davidson won the women's 400-meter hurdles with a speedy time of 58.71, while Jenna James clocked a personal best time of 59.27 for second. Ā
In the women's 200-meter, Hayes claimed a personal best time of 23.67 for fourth place. Kubickova (24.11) finished sixth and Atkinson (24.40) ran for eighth. On the men's side of the 200-meter, Bour took home a victory with a time of 20.61.Ā
The women's 3k steeplechase saw sophomore Grace Williamson claim fifth place with a time of 12:18.24. Ā
Kunle Akinlosotu cleared 50-00.75 (15.26m) in the men's triple jump for second place and Brandon Green Jr. Jumped for 49-09.75 (15.18m) for third. Ā
To close out the meet, Olivia Lueking cleared 13-11.25 in the women's pole vault for first place. She was followed by Cassidy Bradshaw (4.15m), Tessani Foster (3.65m), and Katy Bush (3.35) in second, seventh, and 12th place, respectively. Ā
