Sooners Tabbed No. 2 Seed For Big 12 Tournament

NORMAN - The bracket for the 2023 Big 12 Women's Tennis Championship was announced Tuesday and the No. 2-seed Oklahoma women's tennis team will face the winner between No. 7-seed Baylor and No. 10-seed Kansas State in the first round on Friday, April 21, at 12 p.m. CT in Lawrence, Kan.
The Sooners (18-8) played the Bears (15-12) on March 12 in Waco, Texas, where the Sooners pulled out the 6-1 victory and claimed their first win at Baylor since 2004. OU faced the Wildcats (2-19) on April 14 and took the 4-0 sweep on the road. The winner of Fridays match will face the winner between No. 3 Iowa State and No. 6 seed Kansas in the semifinal round at 3 or 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, April 22.
On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 8 seed TCU and No. 9 seed West Virginia will face off to play top-seed Texas in the semifinal round.
The tennis championships are being held at the Jayhawk Tennis Center and Lawrence Sports Pavilion.
