NORMAN - The Oklahoma men's tennis team fell 4-0 to No. 17 Arizona on Monday night at the Headington Family Tennis Center.
The Wildcats set the tone of the match by taking the doubles point. Court two saw an Arizona 6-1 win from Gustaf Strom and Herman Hoeyeraal over Alex Martinez and Luis Alvarez. To clinch the opening point, UA's Colton Smith and Nick Lagaev defeated Siphos Montsi and Jordan Hasson, 6-3.
When play was halted, Baptiste Anselmo and Nathan Han were down 3-5 to Jonas Ziverts and Jay Friend at the top court.
Arizona went into singles with a dominant force. Han was first to fall on court four against Hoeyeraal, 6-4, 6-1. At the top court, No. 88 Colton Smith defeated Martinez 6-2, 6-2. To clinch the match, Strom took down Montsi 6-4, 6-1 on court three.
The match finished with three courts retiring. No. 118 Hasson was down 3-6, 4-5 to No. 45 Jonas Ziverts on court two, Anselmo was tied 6-3, 1-6 with No. 110 Lagaev on court five and Alvarez was tied 4-6, 6-2 with Jay Friend at the No. 6 spot.

The Sooners will head to the West Coast and start their trip against Pepperdine on Saturday, March 11 at 4 p.m. CT in Malibu, Calif. They'll then make their way to San Diego, Calif., to take on No. 26 San Diego on Monday, March 13 at 2 p.m. CT.
