NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma track and field team will compete in Austin, Texas at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, March 29 - April 1. Ā Ā Ā
"I'm glad for our program to get back to action following a strong week of training," said head coach Tim Langford. "The Texas Relays is a popular meet that brings competition from all over the country. We're ready for a new challenge and expect some elite performances."Ā
Action starts out on Wednesday with the women's heptathlon at 10:30 a.m. CT and the men's decathlon at 11 a.m. On Thursday, field events begin at 11 a.m. CT, while running events kick off 4:30 p.m. CT. Friday morning will begin with running events at 9:35 a.m. CT and field events starting at 12:30 p.m. CT. Saturday, the final day of competition, starts at 10:40 a.m. CT with running events, while field events begin at 11:00 a.m. CT.Ā

ISLAND RELAYS REWINDĀ
In Freeport, the women's team won first place with a total of 169 points, while the men's side took home second with 124 points.Ā Ā
On the first day of the Island Relays, Abby Moore took second place in the women's hammer throw with 190-1 (57.93m), while Geraldine Udo finished third with a throw of 182-2 (55.53m).Ā On the men's side of the hammer throw, Ben Ryer threw for 194-1 (59.16m) to snag second place.Ā Ā
On the track, the women's 400-meter hurdles saw Ashonti Warner clock a personal best time of 57.38, which also sets a new program record. She was followed by Daneesha Davidson in second (57.91) and Jenna James in sixth (1:01.80).Ā Ā
Next, Yazmine Wright finished third in the women's 800-meter run after crossing the finish line at 2:08.12, while Sierra Williams (2:10.41) finished third.Ā
Isaac Barrera collected a win in the men's 800-meter run after clocking a 1:54.27.Ā
To finish out the day, Zarik Brown took home a win in the men's 200-meter dash with a personal best time of 21.02. He was followed by Muzuri Mattar (21.05), Josh Bour (21.35), and Nikaoli Williams (21.43) in third, fifth, and sixth place, respectively.Ā Ā
Day two of competition started off with the women's 3k, where Erin O'Brien finished fifth with a time of 10:05.43.Ā
Senior Payden Montana won the women's shot put competition with a throw of 56-4 (17.17m), while Paige Low (16.42) finished second and Abby MooreĀ collected sixth.Ā Ā
Next, Cassidy Bradshaw cleared 13-1.5 (4.00m) in the women's pole vault for first place.Ā Ā
The women's long jump competition saw Symone Washington claim first place with a leap of 20-4 (6.20m).Ā
The women's 4x100 relay team ran a time of 44.50 for second place, while the men's 4x100 relay team collected a first-place finish with a time of 39.40.Ā Ā
Next, David Warmington ran a 14.73m in the men's 110m hurdles for second place.Ā Ā
In the 100m dash, Mikayla Hayes (12.14) and Eva Kubickova (12.24) finished third and fourth, respectively. On the men's side, A'lajuwan Robinson (10.80) took home fourth, Carter Cukerstein (10.85) finished fifth, and Ricky Smith (10.98) claimed eighth.Ā Ā
The women's discus throw saw Payden Montana finish in second place with a throw of 165-2 (50.34m), while Paige Low finished third at 156-11 (47.83m).Ā
Brandon Green Jr. leapedĀ to first place in the men's triple jump with a clearance of 51-6 (15.70m), while Kunle Akinlosotu finished third at 45-7.25 (13-90m).Ā
