NORMAN, Okla. - The University of Oklahoma track and field team concluded their time in Austin, Texas, at the 95th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, Saturday afternoon. Ā
"I think we had a good showing this weekend, considering where we are in training," said head coach Tim Langford. "We had several personal records and top-10 performances. I think we are building on the success of our indoor season and focusing on making the outdoor championships even better."Ā
Day three kicked off with a qualification to the finals in the women's 4x100-meter relay by Kennedy Blackmon, Amanda Obijiaku, Mikayla Hayes and Eva Kubickova after running a 44.51 for second in their heat.Ā Ā
The Sooners had a strong showing in the timed hurdles, coming in at 12th place in each race. Sophomore Pippi Lotta Enok clocked a 13.97 (4.3 wind) in the 100-meter hurdles and freshman David Warmington crossed the line with a 14.20 (4.3 wind) in the 110-meter hurdles.Ā
Blackmon then took to the track to take first in her heat in the 100-meter dash with a 11.23 (5.5 wind) to automatically qualify for the finals. On the other side, sophomore Josh Bour came in at 14th place with a 10.19 (4.3 wind) to barely miss the advancement.
Freshman Carter Cukerstein clocked a 10.39 (2.6 wind) for 16th place in the men's timed 100-meter dash.
Over on the field, Symone Washington tied for second in Section B of the women's long jump, leaping 20-0.25 (6.10m, 5.4 wind). For the men, freshman Donovyn Fowler claimed 15th with a mark at 23-7.50 (7.20m) for his outdoor debut.Ā
Freshman Tucker Smith threw for fifth place in Section B of the men's shot put, marking a PR at 59.4 (18.08m). On the women's side, junior Paige Low took 11th with a throw at 49-9.25 (15.17m).Ā Ā
The Sooners were represented on both sides of Section B triple jump. For the women, Daneesha Davidson grabbed fourth with 42-11.75 (13.10m), Agur Dwol took 10th with 41-9.25 (12.73m) and Jasmine Akins finished 16th with a mark at 41-2.25 (12.5m). Brandon Green claimed fifth for the men, leaping 51-6.25 (15.70m).Ā
To close out day three for the Sooners, Davidson snagged a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 57.48, securing the fourth fastest time in program history. Ā
The final day of competition opened with Section B discus throw where Payden Montana threw for a personal best 171-8 (52.32m) for third place. Ā
Next, Olivia Lueking finished fourth in the women's pole vault with a clearance of 14-3.25 (4.35m).Ā
The women's 4x100 team placed eighth in the final with a time of 44.44.Ā
Senior Vernon Turner finished ninth in the high jump after jumping 7-0.25 (2.14m).Ā
Kennedy Blackmon returned to the track for the women's 100-meter final where she clocked 11.32 for seventh place. Ā
Moving off the track, Jasmine Akins jumped for 20-2.25 (6.15m) in the women's long jump competition for sixth, while Nikaoli Williams finished eight on the men's side with a clearance of 25-4 (7.72m).Ā
The shot put competition saw Diego Trevino finish in 13th place with a throw of 58-10.75 (17.95m). On the women's side, Payden Montana threw for 55-8.5 (16.98m) for fourth place, while Abby Moore finished 12th at 52-0 (15.85m). Ā
To close out the meet, the men's 4x400 relay team (Zarik Brown, Salim Epps, Richard Kuykendoll, Muzuri Mattar) ran a 3:02.88 for sixth place and the fourth fastest time in school history.Ā

The Sooners will have a week off before hosting their first outdoor meet of the season, Sooner Invite and Multis, April 14-15. Ā
