September 30, 2022 | Women's Tennis

NORMAN - The Oklahoma women's tennis team continues its fall season at the ITA All-American Championships, beginning Saturday in Cary, N.C.

Six Sooners will play singles and doubles across the tournament's three draws. No. 4 Layne Sleeth will represent OU in singles main draw and No. 22 Carmen Corley will take the court in the qualifying singles draw.

No. 93 Ivana Corley, Emma Staker, Alexandra Pisareva and Dana Guzman are set to compete in the pre-qualifying singles draw, which runs Oct. 1-2.

The No. 2 Corley Sisters and No. 22 Sleeth and Pisareva duo will both team up for the doubles main draw, running Oct. 5-9.

The tournament will be played Oct. 1-9 at multiple locations: Cary Tennis Park, Duke University, University of North Carolina and North Carolina State University.

The men's and women's singles quarterfinalists, consolation finalists, plus the doubles semifinalists and consolation finalists for each gender will earn automatic entry into the ITA National Fall Championships from Nov. 2-6 at San Diego, Calif.

2022 marks the seventh consecutive year that the Sooners have sent at least one player to the ITA Women's All-American Championships, one of the ITA's four fall championship events. The event was not held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Oklahoma head coach Audra Cohen is one of many notable winners of the ITA All-American, capturing the singles title in 2004.

Draws will be released at a later time. Live scoring and video will be available for all matches of the tournament.
