NORMAN - The Oklahoma women's tennis squad will continue fall play at the College Ranked Spotlight in Cary, N.C., beginning Thursday.
No. 4 Layne Sleeth, No. 22 Carmen Corley, Alexandra Pisareva and Julia Garcia Ruiz are slated to compete on the North Carolina State campus for their second tournament of the season, Sept. 22-25.
The four-day tournament will feature student-athletes from Arizona State, Auburn, Duke, ETSU, Kansas, Miami, Michigan, North Carolina, NC State, Ohio State, Princeton, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas A&M, UCF, USC, and Virginia.
No live stats will be available for the College Ranked Spotlight, results from the tournament will be available on SoonerSports.com following the conclusion of the event.
Last year's tournament at NC State was highlighted by Layne Sleeth's semifinals run, collecting three ranked wins along the way.
In OU's last outing at the Milwaukee Tennis Classic, the Sooners tallied five victories between Dana Guzman and Emma Staker in their first tournament of season, with Staker advancing as far as the semifinals.
