Corley, Cohen, Gracia Collect ITA Honors

NORMAN — Oklahoma senior Ivana Corley, head coach Audra Cohen and assistant coach Jose Gracia earned ITA Central Region honors, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association announced Monday morning.
Corley is awarded with the Arthur Ashe Leadership Award, which is presented to men and women student-athletes who have exhibited outstanding sportsmanship and leadership, as well as scholastic, extracurricular and tennis achievements.
This past season, Corley helped lead the Sooners to the most historic season the women's tennis program has ever recorded. In the process, she compiled a 13-10 singles record, and a 25-6 doubles record in dual matches for the 2021-22 season and collected numerous honors along the way. Corley was named to the All-Tournament doubles team and tabbed Most Outstanding Player at the ITA National Indoor Championship, was named Big 12 Player of the Week, claimed All-Big 12 First Team in doubles and was named to the NCAA All-Tournament team in doubles.
Cohen was named the ITA Central Region Coach of the Year after leading the Sooners to a record-breaking season. Finishing her sixth season as head coach, the 2022 Big 12 Coach of the Year earned the honor by recording a 32-3 record, going undefeated at home and in conference play, claiming the Big 12 Regular Season title and sending OU to their first ever National Championship appearance. The accolade is OU's third in program history, the last being in 2014.
In his first year as the assistant head coach, Gracia claimed the program's fourth ITA Regional Assistant Coach honor and helped the Sooners to their first program ITA National Indoors appearance, where they reached the finals. OU then went on a 16-match winning streak and tallied the program's highest ITA and USTA ranking at No. 2. Gracia also helped send two singles players and one doubles pair to the NCAA Individual Championships.
With the honors, Corley, Cohen and Gracia are finalists for the ITA National Awards, which will be announced June 13.
