Emma Staker and doubles pair Carmen and
Ivana Corley picked up NCAA All-Tournament honors after dominant performances in the NCAA Women's Tennis Championship.
Staker was tabbed the No. 6 position player in the tournament, going 5-1 and undefeated once action traveled to Champaign, Ill. The freshman clinched the Sooners' trip to the Final Four after a 3-6, 6-3, 6-4 victory over Texas A&M's Jeanette Mireles. The next day, Staker secured the Sooners' championship appearance with her win against Duke's Eliza Omirou 6-0, 5-7, 6-0.
The Tulsa native tabbed a point for OU against Texas in the national title match, defeating Vivian Ovrootsky 6-1, 6-1 in a quick fashion to finish first.
No. 10 Ivana and
Carmen Corley went undefeated at the top doubles court, finishing first to aid the Sooners to two clinched doubles points. In a matchup against Texas A&M's No. 6 Tatiana Makarova and Jayci Goldsmith, the duo claimed the victory 6-3. The dominant pair racked up another ranked win over No. 17 Georgia Drummy and Karolina Berankova 6-3.
The Corley's matches were halted in the remaining four matches, where they led on three of them.
