NORMAN — The No. 1-seed Oklahoma women's tennis team will receive a first-round bye in the 2022 Big 12 Women's Tennis Championship, before playing the winner of No. 8-seed TCU and No. 9-seed Kansas State, Friday, April 22, at noon CT in Fort Worth, Texas.
The Sooners (25-1) delivered victories over TCU, 6-1, and Kansas State, 4-1, earlier this season. The winner of Friday's match will face the winner between No. 4-seed Baylor and No. 5-seed Kansas in the semifinal round at noon CT on Saturday, April 23. The championship match is scheduled for Sunday, April 24, at 1 p.m. CT.
On the opposite side of the bracket, No. 7-seed Iowa State and No. 10-seed West Virginia will battle for a chance to play No. 2-seed Texas, while the winner of No. 3-seed Oklahoma State and No. 6-seed Texas Tech will face off for a semifinal appearance.
The tennis championships are being held on the campus of TCU at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
