Sooners Head To 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays

NORMANĀ - The Oklahoma men's and women's track and field teams will travel to Austin, Texas, to compete in the 94th Clyde Littlefield Texas Relays, March 23-26. The annual meet will be held at the Mike A. Myers Stadium.

The meet will begin Wednesday with multis action starting at 10 a.m. CT, while running and field events get going on Thursday, starting with the hammer throw at 11 a.m. Friday kicks off with discus throw at 9 a.m., while running events start at 9:35 a.m. with the 4x100-meter relay. To close the four-day meet,Ā field events will be begin at 10 a.m. with the women's discus throw.

Forty-oneĀ Sooners are slated to compete in Austin. Live results can be found on PrimeTime Timing and will be streamed on Longhorn Network, beginning at 7 p.m. on Thursday, 9:30 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday and 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.

TCU INVITATIONALĀ REWIND

Redshirt seniorĀ Lauren JonesĀ took first on the women's side, marking a 173-03 (52.80m). Adding on to the first-place finish, sophomoreĀ Paige LowĀ threw 168-00 (51.21m), juniorĀ Payden MontanaĀ marked a 155-03 (47.33m) and seniorĀ Faith EtteĀ threw a 148-07 (45.28m), taking second, fifth and eighth, respectively.

SeniorĀ Bayley CampbellĀ kicked off Saturday's action in men's hammer throw, marking a PR at 219-00 (66.76m) to grab the school record on his last throw. Following right behind, redshirt seniorĀ Edward JeansĀ took second, throwing a 209-05 (63.83m).

On the women's side,Ā Lauren JonesĀ grabbed her second win at the TCU Invitational, throwing a 216-11 (66.12m). JuniorĀ Geraldine UdoĀ threw a PR at 182-02 (55.53m) for third, while seniorĀ Abby MooreĀ marked 173-09 (52.96m) for a fourth-place finish.

Collecting his first collegiate win, freshmanĀ Kason O'RileyĀ cleared 6-11 (2.11m) for first place in men's high jump. Following behind, seniorĀ Chris BanksĀ placed second with a height of 6-5 (1.96m).

For the women, redshirt seniorĀ Ja'Sha SloanĀ grabbed second place, based on attempts, in women's high jump, clearing 5-9.25 (1.76m).

JuniorĀ Kayla KurtzĀ joined her teammates for the 2022 outdoor season, where she took second in the women's javelin throw, marking at 150-01 (45.76m).

In the men's shot put,Ā CooperĀ Campbell placed second with a 60-8.75 (18.51m), whileĀ BryantĀ Parlin finished fifth, marking a 55-7 (16.94m).

The women picked up a sweep for shot put.Ā Payden MontanaĀ threw her way to first, marking a 57-00 (17.37m), whileĀ AbbyĀ Moore threw a PR at 53-2.75 (16.22m) to place ninth in OU history,Ā Faith Ette
marked 51-3.75 (15.64m) andĀ Paige LowĀ threw a 50-7.50 (15.43m) to place second, third and fourth, respectively.

SeniorĀ Nicole EzeokeĀ marked a PR for first place, leaping a 41-3.25 (12.58m) (1.4 wind) in women's triple jump, while seniorĀ Allanah LeeĀ took second, marking a 40-9.50 (12.43m).

For the men, newcomerĀ Matthew WalshĀ grabbed first in men's triple jump, marking a 50-00.75 (15.26m). Following behind, sophomoreĀ Kunle AkinlosotuĀ took second, leaping a PR at 49-7.75 (5.13m).

Over on the track, the men's and women's 4x100-meter relay teams both took second. The men's squad made up ofĀ Karson Kowalchuk,Ā Richard Kuykendoll,Ā Demarius SmithĀ andĀ Marlowe MosleyĀ clocked a 39.98, while the women's team ofĀ Mikayla Hayes,Ā Ja'Leesa Giles,Ā Jada AtkinsonĀ andĀ Kennedy BlackmonĀ ran a time of 44.96.

Redshirt seniorĀ Camri AustinĀ clocked a wind-aided 13.46 in the women's 100-meter hurdles to take second, while redshirt seniorĀ Isaiah LevingstonĀ made his 110-meter hurdles debut, taking third with a wind-aided time of 14.23.

Redshirt seniorĀ Demarius SmithĀ took first in the men's 100-meter dash, clocking a 10.56 (-1.4 wind), whileĀ Karson KowalchukĀ (10.67),Ā Josh BourĀ (10.70) andĀ Quoi EllisĀ (10.80) took fifth, seventh, and 11th, respectively.

FreshmanĀ Mikayla HayesĀ finished fourth in the women's 100-meter dash with a time of 11.72 (.4 wind).

Madison Langley-WalkerĀ clocked a 59.72 in the women's 400-meter hurdles for second place.

Closing out the day,Ā Kennedy BlackmonĀ placed third in the women's 200-meter dash, clocking a 23.66 (1.3 wind).
